Just been out for another ride before work tonight, getting the miles in before going up to Yorkshire next weekend for the Tour anyone else going to be near Skipton?

I was going to go. Met a couple out cycling and they so happened to come into my pub the day after and said if I were going over that I could stay with them..... But I decided against it in the end

Sometimes bike paths aren't the safest/best place to be, alot of the ones round me are really poorly surfaced, full of pot holes and drains. Just because its there doesn't mean the cyclist has to use it.

This. And a lot of them have little stones and cobbles. Death traps for punctures.

Yeah going to be yep going up on the Thursday for the Rapha Tempest Fest, staying there for 3 nights then staying in London on the Sunday night ready for the finish of stage 3 on the Monday.

I met a couple out cycling yesterday, and I got chatting away to them. Anyways, long story short, they're from Yorkshire. They both so happened to walk into my pub today and they recognized me straight away. I mentioned to the guy that I was thinking of heading over for the start of the tour. He ended up giving me his email + number and told me to get in contact with him if I decide to head over. They have spare bikes and and I'm pretty much guaranteed a place to stay with them.

I'll mention it to my boss and see if I could get 3 or 4 days off work

My birthday is on 4th July so would be a awesome way to celebrate it

University finished for the summer, volunteering at the Giro d'Italia in the North done (Was bloody fantastic) and I'm home for the first time since mid Feb. Starting work at the weekend. Cycling going great. Life is good at the moment.

3) Where? Belfast has good/decent bars such as Lavery's and one across from Great Victoria Street, I'm sure about in Newtownabbey/Armagh.

I have no clue as to how I'm going to get to Dublin from Armagh on Sunday. I'm supposed to be staying with my uncle in Dublin cos he's driving to Kerry the day after but with all these road closures I think I'm going to be stranded in Armagh.
