Update - Well… this is embarrassing. Some news from Italy showed up on my Inbox and I noticed that the Napoli name was fixed. Not sure how it happened. Maybe when I was tweaking my Preferences for some other reason… Magic? 

In transferring FM files across two laptops, I admit things got a bit messy. I tried to install FM in my OneDrive (but syncing is dodgy). In any case, FM is working perfectly. Yes, it's a normal Steam installation. No need to spend your time solving the Parthenope name. I appreciate your care. Thanks.

Screenshot of editor data folder below. It's a brand new save in FM24. I was playing FM across two laptops in recent weeks because my main laptop was out for repair, but I was able to reinstall everything perfectly in my main laptop and it all works fine, other than the Parthenope name… Thanks for your help.

Thanks for your care and attention to detail. (Sorry I was tired last night and mistyped it). I did as instructed in both files and correctly this time, but Parthenope is still there. I'm not playing in Italy at this moment, so I'm not too bothered, but if you have any additional tips, please let me know. Thanks again. 

Thanks so much for your prompt reply. I tried but it didn't work. This is what I did:

• I opened the City, Club and Stadium Name lnc filed located in the 2430/lnc folder. I replaced all #"Club with #Club
• Result: All stadium images disappeared! I freaked out. I then reloaded skin, and all stadium images came back (Ufff….). But Parthenope name remains.

Did I miss something?… Am I opening the wrong file and folder, and replacing wrong club names in the file? Thanks.

Sorry but I couldn't find on the FAQ how to fix the Napoli name. All other club names are fine, just Napoli is wrong (Parthenope). Many thanks.

OK. Try this:

1. In your graphics/newgan subfolder (probably named "6- _UltraRealistic NewGan Face..."), look for the file config.xml and open it with your notepad application (other text applications should also work).

2. In notepad, click Edit on the top bar, and then click Replace. Type "person/" in the top field, and "person/r-" in the bottom field. Click Replace All, and save the file config.xml in the same folder you found it.

3. Go to FM, under Preferences/Interface, unclick use caching and click reload skin. Then reload skin. You should be able to see the same AI photos applied to your players before the FM patch update.

With 24.2 update, all my newgan faces disappeared and were replaced by the silly cartoon faces.

Is there a way to recover newgan faces as they were before (I don't want new AI faces to my current players as I already got used to them)?

I chose “preserve” mode in the newgan editor but it didn't work. I'm afraid that if I chose “generate”, my players will get entirely different AI faces, no?…

Can you please provide a list of codes that need to be  replaced? Is saving the same log file all I need to do? Thanks

PS: I replaced KOS with KVX in the newgan log file, saved it and then reloaded the skin, but Kosovo players still have cartoon faces…

Yes, as you pointed out, I found over 340 lines indicating missing info, a third of which were for KOS: "Mapping for KOS is missing".

Thanks for the reply. I run my FM in English.  My installer is version 1.3. 
In the original install, some 20% players kept their cartoon faces, and in following seasons all newgens come with cartoon faces…

Any other tips please? 

This is amazing. I applied this pack and it worked fine in the majority of cases, but 20% of fake players still have the ugly cartoon faces. 

I reapplied the pack using the “Preserve” Mode in the Newgan editor, but I still see cartoon faces, predominantly in newgen players. 

How do I fix this please? Thanks.

Yes, I use the mega background packs but am willing to uninstall it. I only installed them because I like to see the stadium photo in the club profile.

It is nearly perfect: only minor problem is the icon sidebar that has urban photo on the background, which makes it difficult to read the icons (see image). (The most common problem in most skins is the huge background photos that make it nearly impossible to read the page - not the case with Norseman's, thanks). 

I downloaded the skin and it's really nice, but unfortunately I can't use it. The city and stadium images on the main background are too overpowering, and I can't read my screen. Any way to remove these gigantic background images and leave the main background in a dark color would be ideal. Thanks.

Thanks for pointing that out. I had read it but it went over my head. Perhaps placing this instruction within the list of numbered instructions (and same font size) would make more sense. In any case, it works now. Thanks.

Thanks so much but it's not working. I downloaded v,0.1 beta, deleted the three folders, pasted the new ones, but English Premier Division and three-letter Brazilian clubs still stand. I reloaded skin and un-ticked cache. Any tips?

PS: I'm playing a carry-on of FM23 save into FM24.

Too complicated. Just copy paste the folders. Delete them in the older FM version to save space. Voil!

How come logos are applied but not jerseys? if you dont have anything helpful to stay, better shut up.

Just confirming, the Brazilian fix didn't work in beta (Oct 22, 2023). Brazilian club names still in three letters. 

Strange is that Brazilian club logos were applied ok, but not the club jerseys (still fake colors). 2023 logo and jersey packs were installed successfully. Thoughts?

Thank you. I found both shirts in the file. I installed the pack in my shirt folder and reloaded the skin. Weidly: primary shirt photo applied fine, but the secondary shirt remains plain white (no sponsor logos). It's strange that one photo applied well, but not the other…

I'm pretty sure that's FMT Stadium Superpack. Anyhow…. We need the FM22 skin version now. :-)
