What technique are you using @Boromir? The edges are a bit too jagged for this to be an improvement, I'm afraid.

I see. I'll have that in mind next time. Thank you for your feedback.

Can we have the original source for that one @Boromir? It's cut quite well but the shoulders should have been left till the edge of the canvas not cut off so abruptly 😉

I could add the shoulders part.

I'm kinda confused atm. How do I look for players? You guys should add if possible a dark theme for the site.

When you do, best to upload it in the comments as a draft so that we can give you advice in order that you can improve your technique. Have a look at the tips and guides in this thread as a starting pad

What do you think?

Much, much better. What technique and programs did you use?

There's still a bit of snow in the hair, particularly on our left.

Gimp.

The pic look much better with a dark background. I will try to correct the snow issue.

@Boromir, I'm afraid this isn't a very good cut. Can we have the original source so that a better attempt may be made?

There you go. That is the best image for that amazing Head of Youth Development. Let me know if you guys can make a better one.

This was very difficult due to the low quality of the image. I did it because he is an incredible coach in my save.

@Boromir, not bad, but for future cuts, please take the time to watch this short and easy-to-understand video which displays a good method of how to spot and clean snow. With a source as straight-forward as this, there should really be now snow at all in your cuts

Okay I will fix it.

@Boromir please make sure that all cuts have small part of shirt visiable,Use this method.

Some players have very long necks but I will keep that on mind.

Good work @Gus Abreu

However, for the future it's best if you upload individual cuts using the below method from the request forum

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/J3DJl5tQ8gxVgHD8l0wvisMMGXXWTVoWOSbGNZZ4.png

This would mean they are displayed there

Should I use the 'Missing image submission' or the 'Improvement submission' depending on the case if is only a single file? Thank you

@Gus Abreu, that is an exceptional cut, even more so from someone who is just starting to learn to cut. Keep up the good work

Thank you. It was a personal challenge in my learning

It's not bad, but you've lost all the hair details and there's a bit of snow too...

With regards to snow, have a look at this video to see how easy and quick it is to remove it. As for the hair details, it's really very hard to explain how to cut such a difficult cut and I'd have to ask some of our better cutters to do so...

Thanks for the video, i'm always looking for new stuff to learn. I guess i will try to do it again.

@Gus Abreu, I'm afraid that you've chosen quite a hard image to start your cutting career with due to all the hair details. For the time being, I think it would be better if you started out on the very simplest of sources in order to build up your cutting technique What software and techniques did you use to cut this source?

I've made it available again for cutting in the meantime.

I edit the photos using photoshop. I edited this photo because I just hired Diego as a scout and wanted to share the image. When I contract someone and have no portrait I usually do it myself but I have never known how to share them. Thank you
