There is a .dbc file included in the download. If you place it in your editor data folder before starting a new game, then that'll solve the problem

Looks like the source is just a little bit smaller than the required size, and so when you increase the face size, you lose a bit of sharpness. Nothing you can do with that, apart from using larger sources, but that depends on their availability...

You're welcome. I can't stress enough that you need to repeat the process in all 5 of the 17.. folders, otherwise it won't work...
Delete the dbc folder and put the one from this download instead.
If you do so, those 2 files should not be there any longer.
Repeat this process for all the dbc, edt and lnc folders in 1700-1730.
That's why I recommend that you have to do the installation process of this download every time SI release a new patch. As you have just noticed, it may be the case that some of the files are recreated automatically when that happens.
