Yes, that is correct. If you download the main 9.0 pack, then you don't need to download the 9.0 update pack but start from 9.01

.fmf files must be in the main editor data folder. If they are in sub-folders, then the game doesn't see them. This is not the case with .dbc or .xml files, which can be placed in sub-folders.

I don't have a Mac so not sure. Surely it's just a case of double-cliking it? If you're even having trouble installing Winrar, then I'm not sure I can recommend that you install these files tbh...

Put the files from this download directly into the editor data folder, i.e. take them out of this download's sub-folders. Having them in sub-folders will mean the game doesn't read them.

Open the City, Club and Stadium Names.lnc file in any of the folders with Notepad. Find the entry for Sporting (POR) and change it to whatever you want. Then copy the file into each of the 3 other folders to be sure the game captures the change

You are free to change it to Sporting Lisbon or Sporting CP or anything you want. It cannot be left as Sporting since there is a Spanish team with that same name...

If there is a rogue edt or lnc file which needs deleting, then yes.

To be fully up-to-date, you should download update packs 8.03-8.09 and update packs 9.0-9.02, and apply them chronologically. You can also download the torrent file for the full 9.0 pack then download the 9.01 and 9.02 update packs. Hope this helps
