Yeah but the passion and gegenpressing!
King Luis
So cute. Especially when you consider your season as success because you finished above Spurs.
Ninja
So if you didn't win the Europe League, which you didn't, you didn't miss out on European football entirely?
King Luis
Easy to say that in hindsight, but if we'd have played our first team squad for every game and picked up injuries you'd only be slating Klopp for that as well. Not to mention it still wouldn't have guaranteed a European spot
Based Jorge
Our season was wank, anyone who says otherwise is an idiot. Finishing above Spurs though when they had one of their best ever seasons in the Prem and one of our worst ever under Wenger in regards to points tally & football played is hilarious.
In all seriousness I think Klopp will do a good job at Liverpool. Bit of a bottler, but can see Liverpool challenging for fourth.
Ninja
Well no, but it would have guaranteed he didn't lead you to your joint worst ever Premier League finish.
I'm not slating him that much, I just don't agree with the idea that he's come in and done a great job so far.
King Luis
No ones arguing that he did a great job in the league, he obviously didn't. But he got us to two cup finals with a squad that is average at best and also comprised of players who aren't his, put yourself in our shoes, if it was United in Liverpool's situation you'd be excited for the future.
Ninja
So did Dalglish, and at least he won one of them.
Also I don't think anyones said Liverpool don't have grounds for optimism. The post I was replying to that kicked this debate off asked why people consider this season a success for Klopp, don't think anyones said anything about next season.
Shola
I understand caring about it if you're shit but Liverpool are normally there are they really going to miss a season of Europa that's probably playing weakened sides until the last 16 and get knocked out of Benfica? - arguably it's better for Liverpool as thy can concentrate solely on the league and Klopp can do what he wants to do.
Same with Man Utd and the Champions League - Do you's really care that much about it?
King Luis
Honestly thats why i wasn't to fussed we didn't qualify, i either want CL or nothing. I know people will say we should want to be in as many competitions as possible but this year we played a ridiculous amount of games and i think just having the league and the two cups to focus on next season will work in our favour, hell it did the last time we failed to qualify.
Ninja
Yes?
I don't see the point of Arsenal's obsession with qualifying for the sake of qualifying, but I like to see my club win things. Its hard to win competitions you don't take part in.
Based Jorge
Ninja
I should have phrased that differently. It makes sense from the clubs financial point of view, but I don't really understand why fans get off on financial benefits of CL qualification.
Based Jorge
The sooner we met the financial objectives the sooner it gave us free reign to spend. Although that seems to not have been the case despite us signing Mesut & Alexis. We're the most cash rich club in the World yet decided to only buy a keeper last year.
Ninja
Quite, but I find literal worthy of celebration in that.
'Woo we qualified for the Champions League and now we can pay off our debt in 5 not 7 years' has quite a hollow ring to it.
Shola
Yeah but you got knocked out in the group stages by PSV and Wofsburg. - If Man Utd scraped 4th they're unlikely to much better next season
Like obviously winning it is good - and if lets say Thomas Muller was wiling to come only on the condition of already being in the CL then fair enough.
Ninja
Football doesn't exactly work like that though, does it? Otherwise we might as well have just relegated Leicester last season as they only just scraped survival and were unlikely to be much better.
Based Jorge
Well it's more the relief of our players not being plundered every summer being over. Nothing to celebrate really, not that there is nowadays apart from Wenger, Kroenke & co parading the balance sheet around with £220m cash in bank, the highest cash reserve of any football club in the World.

Also, the two farthest left people have the same exact body but different heads.
Ninja
I'm pretty sure they've photoshopped the heads onto random bodies (for at least some of them) and done a really shit job of it.
