@vagg77 & @siborg You should be able to download the app here : https://github.com/alexmichelet/3dkits-viewer/releases click on the "3dkits-viewer.1.1.0.windows.portable.zip" link
Once unzipped it should works by executing 3dkits-viewer 1.1.0, it is a portable application that does not require any other installation
@hammer9 it's probably because of the lighting of the scene, I'll try to tweak it a bit, that goes on the to-do list 🙂
I've been (and still am) pretty busy recently so I can't really work on this project right now though 😢
Also @bolid74 I have not forgotten your request for the thermal sleeves UV map, I plan to release all the 3d models that I got from the game (still didn't have time to get this one though)
I may also write a tutorial to explain how to get these files from the game, if that's something some of you find useful ? (it's a bit tricky I warn you :p)
Unfortunately for me, when I start the application, only a frame with a white background is displayed. Perhaps I need to install some kind of library that gets installed with Vue.js?

Well, a tutorial would certainly be useful for future seasons, in case you give up on FM. SI will change model every 2-3 years and I strongly suspect next season we might get updated model. So the knowledge on how to extract and use models will be very useful. Surely someone will be able to do it, if not me
@DokteurHaisse
It would be possible to insert an option in the viewer to export in png format eliminating the background???
So that we could just create the 3D kit and obtain the 2D kits automatically. I'll leave a picture below for a better understanding of what I thought ...
That is a really good idea @marcss.34! Although I would maybe cut away the shoes and socks, use short sleeves and don't display a texture on the person (floating kit). Don't know if that is easy to do though.
I really like that idea too! It might require some tweaking of the shirt panel of a custom skin to make the whole kits show up in the game, but that should be doable.
Yep that's something that I've had in mind for some time and will probably be my next project related to FM
basically a full 3D-to-2D kit converter that lets you choose what kind of 2d model you want and then render all your 3d kits in the same style

I can maybe help you with other PSDs (SS style for example) when I find time 🙂
There should also be another model of a player with short sleeves in combination with termal underwear sleeves. No need for it to be included in viewer, however it would be nice to have UV map. The lower hands area is mapped on the left of the socks
@DokteurHaisse now that we have the ability to add ball textures, do you think that a ball model can be added to your tool? Or even create a dedicated tool?
It would be extremely useful to check ball textures applied to a 3d ball model.

Black boots to editor... Nothing important, but usefull to who wish do screenshots or dont like base colours.
paste the below image in viewer folder: \src\model\fm21\textures to fm21 version.
This does look better, I'll change it in the next update 🙂
In the meantime, while I was getting the ball 3d model in the viewer I took this opportunity to write a tutorial, that I just published, here it is : https://github.com/alexmichelet/3dkits-viewer/blob/master/tutorial/TUTORIAL.md
It explains how to convert SIA files to OBJ files. It's not really straightforward, but I hope the tutorial can help 🙂
@DokteurHaisse@wfm18 Guys, let me show a thing in this update. I found a bug in this version.
On the back, notice that the 'short sleeves' option is not fitting the thin strip, the 'long sleeves' option is ok and before you ask me, yes the png file was designed with its proper positioning and spacing correctly, I'm going to attach to use as a reference if you wish. I know it's just a matter of visualization and it doesn't influence the game, just leaving an observation, so that if the author wishes to review it in the future. Thanks.
Hey @DokteurHaisse would you mind if this was integrated into the site so that when viewing a 3D kit upload you can see a preview of what's in it before you download?

It's the PNG file, not the model. The spacing can sometimes be a bit odd, so therefore this tool helps you to fix those issues. The model is the exact same as in FM21.

Yeah absolutely, that's a great idea
All the code is MIT licensed so there is no restriction on reuse 🙂
Please tell me if you need help with the integration

Can you please explain how to use the Windows version? I cannot understand how I will launch it, after cloning it from GITHUB.
I am afraid that someday maybe the website will go down and we will not be able to use it, so I want to start using the desktop version.
Thank you very much
hammer9
is it nothing we do? or going to fix?
thanks

Here is the UV map for the sleeves : https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/bjUeofUxnQc6AuAn0VOHwQcDBS1C1jxMabNXs2pn.png
It comes from the file "kit_m_under_armour_sleeves" in the game, is that what you were looking for ? (tbh I didn't know there was so many different variations of 3d kits so I have to understand all the different files ^^)

Yes, this is it, thank you very much

In the 3d viewer, the arms of the jersey are shown upside down (right and left need to be changed)
