This is how backgrounds looks like using the default skin, nothing wrong. If you want the backgrounds to show in a different way you need to use another skin :

@Qvordrup I have a question, maybe silly but for safety and before downloading I would like to have confirmation. I would like to renew the images of the stadiums and cities, but I wanted to download the image pack from scratch, only I was hoping I could find some separate packs (city only) (stadiums only) (background only). 

is it possible to have this type of choice for the images of sortitoutsi or the only way is to download the entire 8gb pack? where inside can I find the images of stadiums, cities and backgrouns? thanks 😉

You can only download the entire pack. No option available to only download stadiums or city, but they are sorted in folders inside the pack 👍

I was wondering, the old image projects (city only) and (stadiums only) are finished, is this the one and only active sortitoutsi thread? because in the info to Flut skin 22 under download (city pics & stadium) there are other links, but I assume that now those projects are stopped and that this has now become the reference project.

I'm getting an error when trying to upload stadium pictures.

How long do I have to wait until you sort it out?

I just let you know I've completed all Serie A and B stadiums (inside).

This is not an error🤨 There is a limit on how many pending packs and individual submissions you can have pr. account. It is 10 pending packs (50 images pr. pack) and 50 individual pending submissions. This is put in place so that the pending lists dont grow to fast for us to keep up👍.

@dispatch I'll see if I can find some time today to moderate them. Allthough I'm honestly not the best at judging if stadium pics are improvements or not, just put a comment if you don't agree with me 👍

Rather than rejecting photos, wouldn't it make more sense to accept them until better ones without watermarks arrive? Most of the photos are from previous seasons or none at all. @Qvordrup  & @BramNUFC

Doesn't make a lot of sense to me, no. I'm sure that for 90 percent of your submissions, you could also find a good quality alternative without a watermark. Maybe you don't think that's worth your time, but then you shouldn't expect others to do that work for you either. At this point you're just dumping loads images that are not of the standard that we should aim for. If there's no good image available for a person, there's also the option to leave them empty for the time being, in order to retain a high-quality megapack. I hope that's what you want as well 👍

Hey, I hope I can ask the question here. I wanted to add some background pictures of mine to the pack, but in a completely separate folder with own configs. So I made some Competition Backgrounds, Stadium Insides and Citypics. The Competition Backgrounds and Citypics work perfectly, but somehow, I don't get the Stadium Insides running.

That's what it looks in the Config:

The graphics and the config are placed in the same folder, so that should be alright. The ID is correct as well.

Does anyone know why this doesn't word?

Problem fixed. I used the ID of the club instead of the stadium.

Excellent pack!

For the files found in the team city backgrounds folder, would it not be possible to tie them to the city database entries rather than the clubs, and advise skin creators to also tie those graphic elements to the same? As they are tied to clubs rather than the cities themselves, it has the following negative implications:

• Smaller clubs need their own graphics, and many don't get one at all. Tying them to cities reduces the number of work and images needed long-term
• Clubs that move cities during a save end up with incorrect graphics, for example if they need to enter a ground-sharing arrangement when building a new stadium or playing in a higher division with ground regulations.

The positive implications of making this change would also appear:

• New clubs added in future FM games, and clubs added with custom database packs (as many of us love to use) are more likely to benefit from the existing work, as they would automatically take on the graphics of their assigned city.
• It would become easier to ‘complete’ this part of the background pack, as you could work off the list of cities in the database rather than the much larger list of clubs.

I understand that it would reduce the variation between same-city clubs, i.e. all the clubs listed in London, however as the pack already contains so many other elements (including two folders for stadium insides and overheads), I think it would be nice to show the mix of similarity and difference at the same time.

The process of actually overhauling this would admittedly be a big job upfront, but I think long-term the benefit to the project would be worth it, especially if you open out the workload to the community.

And of course, it goes without saying that this is just a personal idea rather than a demand, with the only real ‘technical issue’ being those situations where clubs move to different cities during a save and therefore showing incorrect graphics.

If this where possible it is a very good idea👍 . But it is not possible to do so. There are no way of showing city pictures that are connected to city id. The backgrounds are tied to one page by the config, and there do not exists a city page in the game and therefore not a config line to go with it.  

That's a shame!

But it does give me an idea for a feature request on the SI forums…

I've got a general question:

The format for city pics and stadium insides is 800x480. But using the flut skin, the pictures are distorted in this format, they would actually need to be in 800x400px format. I can't speak for other skins, but what's the reason for using 800x480 when the pics are distorted then? Is it because of other skins?

Can someone possibly help me? I'm using the English level 11 pack, my stadium just shows the `coming soon' logos. I've tried adding them to the existing config.xml, and also tried creating a custom backgrounds folder with it's own config. No matter what I seem to try, the stadium doesn't appear, although it DOES if I click my Development Centre button, there it is, the full page stadium background. Where can I be going wrong?

Pinxton, using the England tier 11. I’ve got two of my own pics of the ground. I’m fine with using just one if I have to, but I’ve got no idea how to, I’m sure I managed to get one to show up and the ‘coming soon’ which I thought well I'll just have to deal with that, hey ho. (OCD in full effect 🙂 )

What I probably need to do is re-extract the stadiums mega pack config but I don’t ideally want to overwrite my existing one, which has different pictures of various grounds and cities of clubs in likely to use, so if I know exactly what lines I’m supposed to add to the config.xml.

At the bottom of the massive config file, I've added the following lines, and pasted those numbered photos into those folders. The kits work fine, logo, city, team city backgrounds all work fine.
