As you can see, in  my game the West Brom have a different colour. Maybe that is due some addon you use. However, if you have the In Game Editor (IGE, which is a pay addon of SI) you can easily change that colours.

Great skin, 

 

Just thought that I would mention that the  text on the top header bar of the West Brom page seems very dark to the point of being almost unreadable.  (I haven't seen that this effects any other page)

 

I have no idea about skinning, so not sure if this is a quick easy change, or if there is something that I can do in the settings of my own game to sort this?

I have a couple of suggestions

 

Since we no longer input wages, would it also be an idea  to omit % of wages paid in loans and let the game pick those automatically too?

 

When  a contract extension is submitted , your mods should remove the existing wage in the editor file and leave it blank so that the game can select a new wage (which will hopefully be more in keeping with a players current ability).  Otherwise we end up with situations where lower earning break out stars are given long contracts but their wages still only reflect their U18/U23 status in the update

I just saw in the logs that you tried to delete a submission from a pack but it failed. Just double check your packs and if they look okay there's nothing to worry about 🙂

As you have now blocked updating of wages, can your moderators now remove/delete a players wages when a player signs a contract extension  (so that the game will reallocate/decide a new wage) , as things currently operate, when a player signs a contact extension (which would include a wage rise), their wage does not change

Also, should we not also remove the % of wages paid by loaning club and let the game also decide that too?

 

I am aware that it is probably too late in the day for this to be implemented for FM21, but surely it makes sense when FM22 is released?

 

ok, thank you for the answer, I have no idea how to run a python script, or how time consuming it is, but when you have made these files available in the past they have greatly lengthened my enjoyment of the game before the next version is released.

 

As I said, I have no idea how time consuming these scripts are, but if it was possible to make these files available upon the end of the season in future games (FM22 onwards), then I would be very grateful.

Is there any plan for these files to be made available for FM21?  Or if not, can you please advise how you were able to make this as a mass edit, as I assume that someone did not individually edit each individual player?

The community shield and UEFA super cup participants are ‘hardcoded’ in advanced rules in the pre game editor.

 

If you add nations league rules for England, and convert to advanced rules, you can remove the pre set participants.  In order to do this for the super cup participants, you have to first set the super cup as being under a nation (England being the obvious one as you are already looking to amend the community shield participants), so that it comes up under nation rules/advanced rules

hey guys, Im trying to do some updates for the new season. for example ive updated the premier league to reflect the season just finished i.e updated each clubs league positions and updated the history folder, i've done the same for the FA Cup as well, but for some reason the community shield is still between Arsenal and Liverpool like it was in 2020..

 

Ive done the same for the ECL and the Europa League and the Super Cup still reflects the 2020 fixture, Bayern v Sevilla…

 

I'm Also trying to change the english season start and end dates to reflect the season coming, any idea on how to do all this?

What @wfm18 is asking for is asked for alot but is difficult to manage, I also don't think it's the most popular form of data update e.g. when someone here's that Aguero has signed for Barcelona they don't rush online to download a data update so that they can play for a year and see him move a year later, they rush online to download a data update to get Aguero at Barcelona right now.

 

I also don't think you can/should try and shift the current data update to cater for that desire, what you would need is two separate data updates that work in two different ways. Even then you'd get arguments about how to organise the second data update e.g. should Aguero be forced to sign for Barcelona or should you set leaving at end of contract so that the manager of Chelsea has the opportunity to sign him just like the real life Chelsea had the opportunity?

 

So basically if you want that sort of data update where everything happens in the future reflecting real life dates that would be an entirely separate project that would need to be planned seperately. 

 

Our data update however reflects the squads as they are today, the only exception to this is that we're going to move players on June 1st rather than July 1st because there's no moderation or gameplay benefit to waiting until July 1st when clubs are announcing them throughout the whole of June.

 

Does that make sense? I've commented on some complicated things quite broadly there so i'm not sure if it will all completely make sense.

 

 

 

‘Future loans’ don't work, no matter what date the loan is set to start, the player will be on loan from the start of your game

Yeah I think we only run into problems with players that are loaned out for both 20-21 and 21-22. Let's say for example Carel Eiting extends his contract at Ajax and goes on loan to AZ Alkmaar in the upcoming season. He is currently playing on loan for Huddersfield Town. The only way we could move him to AZ is by also moving him in the 2020-2021 season on loan to AZ (2 year deal) or letting him play for his original club (Ajax) in 20-21 and then loan him out the following season, if the theory below works:

 

We could change the start date of a loan contract to 2021. I did not test it, so I don't know if it acts like a 'future loan', but I think it does. This will especially be realistic for players that are currently (20-21) not loaned out but they will be next season (21-22). I hope this will not make it massively complicated 😛

I know that the evidence does not state his contract end date, but surely his contract does not end on 18th July???

@barcaseb has stated "I don't know why this happens. I have tried to approve these changes, and I hope it will fix the problem with the wrong job roles".... but the changes he submitted... as well as the changes that others have submitted, have been inputted as first team coach.

I am not trying to single out Barceseb... or any other staff member, but several of them have tried to make these changes and they have not been able to do so.

I have recently seen that you have completed a staff change (Xisco to Watford), so you are obviously doing something differently (and correctly) than the other staff members

Can you advise them or speak to @Footygamer about this?

Numerous people have submitted this change, and also submissions for other staff changes, although most of them seem to have been inputted by site staff members as first team coach's.

You are the only staff member who I have seen who has been able to change a staff member to their correct job role. All attempts by other staff members have seen them set as first team coach rather than their actual job role.
