I don't know what you're doing, but you're changing an existing image, and you're taking out the details of the image, and making it darker.
even though other people's work is very good
and I see a lot of other people's good work that you change to be darker and lose detail, especially in the hair.
This is just my opinion, don't take it personally.

It's better for you to look for a file that can be cut to 250px rather than 180px, because the previous photo was better and was 250px in size.
