I've downloaded update packs but once loaded a lot of faces have disappeared and some that used to have a silhouette no longer even have a silhouette, very strange. Any tips on how to fix?

I just can't download it without the download just stopping. I get maybe half an hour into a download and it stops. Can anyone help?

Yeah, this didn't work for me unfortunately, it's so weird and frankly annoying. I don't remember this being this difficult in previous iterations of FM.

My home kits are weirdly UD Oratava and the third kt is something completely random with a Toyota sponsor and the default team shirt logo, which by the way I have replaced with a custom logo.

I am at my wits end!

In some cases, the details in the FM database have been input wrongly, duplicated or not been input at all - and this results in some kits either not displaying or the text colour looking different to the kit.

One way of solving this isthe use of a kits colour changes file, which ONLY works when applied BEFORE starting a new game.



Instructions below on how to install this file BEFORE starting a new game:
  • Go to Documents \ Sports Interactive \ Football Manager 2018 \ editor data
  • Delete all previous instances of this file or others named similarly.
  • Put this file in there and start a new game. Voilà, problems sorted


It is also possible to change the kits in the middle of a save game by using an in-game editor


Things this file will fix include:
1) fixing national or leagues teams kits in instances where they don't appear, like for example West Ham / Spurs

Will fix if default third kit as well.


2) removing kits from the database which are not in the SS kitpacks, like for example this team

3) assigning the correct kit colours and/or styles in the instances where the FM database and the kitpacks don't correspond

Hi,

I've used a template to create home and away kits (PNG) for my team Ashton Athletic (ID: 29042053). I've created an XML file, doing what I normally do, then placed them in their own folder in the graphics folder within the Sports Interactive folder structure, the same way I've done it for years. But now, the kits don't appear.

I've tried changing the kit IDs and the XML file to FC Porto, a team that is normally in the game database without having to do a team swap into a competition, and still nothing.

I've cleared the cache and reloaded the skin each time and I've even restarted the game on multiple occasions, all to no avail.

Is there a file created in your downloads folder? If yes, can we have a screenshot of it?


I sorted it by plugging it into the router direct.

If your still getting the pre loaded ones mate it sounds like the config to me, do you have a config?


Same here, turns out there's no XML files in any of the other downloads, there is one in logos but I also can't get it to work.

The face pack megabuck times out at around 8gb really, really frustrating as this is the only reason I became a premium member. Can you please sort?

I see that the Capital One Cup and the Sky Bet Leagues have the proper trophy graphics displayed, any chance we could get this across the board? It looks amazing.

I've just started a new career as Lincoln manager for which I've chosen my experience level as Sunday League and have no coaching badges, as you can imagine I have very little if any points to play with as a manager.

As I progress and become more successful will my points increase in line with this or is this just an oversight?
