I''ve checked myself and it's probably the best source. Just remember that cuters could spend their time on other higher quality sources.
Also, this player is fairly old, so you never know when the player might retire and the cut will be left worthless, unless he becomes staff.

Sorry, I'm not familiar with gimp.
Although, you can get PS CS2 for free, which is what I got. It has a lot of the same function as the newer version. And don't worry, it's completely legal. I think there's a guide in the OP.

@gs1728 Could you try to find a larger source?

But you need to make sure your cuts are close to the chin. Also, you need to have a bit of collar in your cut.
These things are very easy to do something about.
Here's the way I do it:
I always add a dark background before doing the cut so I can see if there's any snow. When your done cutting out the face, you should have something like this.
Then I use the rectangular marquee tool to cut out a small portion of the collar.
Downsize the image to fit the 250x250 or 180x180 standard. You should have something like this,
Finally, I select the collar I previously cut out and drag them down.
My final cut:
Try having another go at it with these sources. It really makes a difference

This technique has been posted before in this thread, but I see a lot of people not using it. You can see the significance of this technique in the "before and after" comparison below.
You know how often we stumble upon hi-res sources, but lighting in the photo studio ruins jaw lines or (and) cheek bones.Well,it looks ugly to me after cut is done, especially when viewed on the dark background.
Here is the fix:
Basically it's just like removing snow from hair.
- Lock transparent pixels.
- Select the Clone Stamp Tool in Darken mode with 33% opacity.
- While holding the ALT key click on the nearest non-shiny skin colour.
- Release the ALT key and make rapid left clicks while covering the problem parts until you get satisfying results.

Could I just link to the dropbox link? Or do the link get removed each new season?

1. For the larger sources, make sure to cut it in 250x250. This was agreed upon earlier this year. If the source can't be cut in 250x250 without upscaleing it, 180x180 will do.
2. This is a very small complaint, the collar on the players are very straight. For example on this:
I know the source isn't the greatest, but where possible, try to cut along the collar instead of just making a staright line.
3. Try cutting close to the chin. Some of your cuts are very good when it comes to this, but some cuts have very long necks.
Imo, this is cut too far away from the neck:
Use this technique if the collar is lower down the neck.
4. The most important thing to improve from these cuts is the snow around the head. It's improtant to check your cut on a dark background before uploading, as the snow is not visible on a light background. Although I know a lot of these sources are very bad (look at step 5).
5. If you can't get a decent cut with one source, try finding another by either looking though this thread or asking me, @Baja, @mons or other requesters/cutters.
If you follow all these steps, your cut will be top notch. Remember, quality is better than quantity.

I think @Vinceultras42 meant that he is going to collect a list of official websites for this thread, if I'm not mistaken.
#435592 Source links

Yes, that would be great. Just remember that the sources should be large enough to be cut in 180x180 (preferably 250x250 for the larger clubs).
#435590 Source links

You could collect the sources yourself, although it would take a while.
#435588 Source links

The link you posted is not updated regularly. If you read the instructions, it says "Good links could for example be official team websites or some other place where you get multiple source images and are updated regularly.".
Remember, this thread is just to help people find HQ sources and is not a replacement for requesting teampack.
