The game will just read the folder which is first in alphabetical order and ignore anything else
The club information for Japanese clubs is also hard-coded not to appear for licensing purposes, and as far as I know nothing can be done about it.

You will need to have the 9.0 pack, then apply all 5 update packs in order, overwriting when prompting. At the end you should have all 182,000+ images (plus config file) in one folder, similar to what the DF11 folder looks like, basically.

Changing editor data files in the middle of a save game makes no difference whatsoever, so unless you are starting a new game, the above changes you are undertaking are irrelevant in that context.

I can't really tell. Could also be an issue with other editor data files you may have downloaded and which may have some issues in them.
I have not edited competitions via the editor in any way whatsoever, so the above issue can't be related to this file, I'm afraid.

I would recommend downloading the megapack via torrent, it's much quicker to download and install

Graphics need to be placed anywhere within Documents / Sports Interactive / Football Manager 2017 / graphics directory. If you have downloaded the correct files, they will invariably contain a config file, so you shouldn't have to edit it.
If you have any news reports or other evidence from a reputable source indicating the terms of Dybala's new contract, then by all means post it and I'm sure it'll be taken under consideration
As explained in the main post, if you effect club name changes through the lnc files (i.e. if you remove the hashtag from the lnc file), then you will lose nicknames.
The only way to effect club name changes but retain nicknames is to have the Club Name...

I'm afraid it looks like you haven't installed this download correctly. Have a look at all 5 edt/permanent AND lnc folders in the path mentioned in the OP and make sure yours are similar...

Check the 5 dbc/permanent folders and delete any instances of the files named brazil kits.dbc or Licensing2.dbc

The files need to be in place before starting a new game.
