Make sure you delete the old dbc folders (not merge, not copy contents, but delete) and put the folder from this download instead.

I'm the Maltese researcher, so I know how it works in terms of the database, but I don't know of a way in which it would be possible to identify the UIDs in the megapack which are not in a particular game's database version.

Try starting the game with the default skin; there's an option this year as to when you want to start your save game (either in early pre-season, or just before the season starts, among other options).

I don't have a Mac, I'm afraid, so can't really offer any practical help. Try looking for the Steam installation folder.

Use the search function and look for files with the extension .lnc or for folders named Football Manager 2017. The game must be installed somewhere, so it's just a case of finding where it is installed.

Going by the screenshot, you have somehow managed to download only a partial amount of the megapack images. You should have over 183,000 images in your megapack folder, and I don't believe you do.

In the regular FM, you would be able to see each stadium's UID when you click on it. Not sure about FMT...

Players contracted to Japanese clubs are not in the game for licensing reasons. The only way to get Japanese players in the game is to download an editor data file, such as this.
