@nikolaosaek sorry the file was temporarily missing from some downloads, if you download again you should it, it's called “New Players.fmf”

@JonAtko8 sorry that's not possible, FM randomises the ID of new players with every save so we can't match the ID to an image.

I'd like to try and find someone who can help with a save game editor like FMRTE to apply a facepack after the save has loaded and the ID's are known. But no progress on that front yet.

@Edgar Rocha the most common cause of this is that you don't have enough disk space available. have you tried that?

Do you mean the same source links that appear in the data update? Because these can easily be added.

Some sort of automated categorisation of the images from each source could be possible as well (e.g. see all the photos on one page in a grid rather than loading each url individually).

@8seconds you're absolutely right that is an unrelated error. Its been fixed now, thanks alot for reporting it.

Generally no potential ability is static it cannot increase or decrease. This is one of the most requested features in FM but SI never add it unfortunately.

It's not designed to work in the year 2024, everything is setup to work in the year 2023 which is why ages and years are increased by one year.

The PA doesn't change, that's not possible unfortunately.

Yes definitely this is an issue with how you've installed it. However you haven't provided any information such as screenshots of your editor data folder that might let people help you. Please can you provide as much information as possible.

Hey @Dan Powell you don't seem to have a subscription. This is probably because you have multiple accounts under multiple email addresses. You can visit the shop page and scroll to the bottom to search for your email address and find the related account.

I think we have alot more CA/PA changes that anyone else. At a glance Pr0/FMScout one has 4,530 database changes for CA/PA we have 1.1 million combined CA/PA and club finances.

I wanted to have something to show for things like new players, player histories and player injuries by now but its taking a little longer than expected, but obviously this is a long term project and those will come eventually and be much larger as well. We need to add 10s of thousands of new players, most other files only have a couple of hundred.

This happens occasionally and usually works randomly the second time (it automatically attempts again a few days later). I've no explanation for it, pretty sure it's an issue paypal's end. 

I was thinking of this but for Man City instead!

Was trying to think how to do it, relegation them to the Championship would probably be too easy.

I was thinking maybe the challenge could be “Man City relegation, play till you lose, stop and share your results when you lose".

Apologies that was probably a mistake when releasing, Classic FM Austria and Sortitoutsi Austria right now are exactly the same thing, but for simplicity sake it would be worth removing the sortitoutsi versions for the calssic fm version.

I've never heard of PaySafeCard what country are you based in @Kaka2000 ?

It's not a replacement, usually we stop updating old games as soon as a new one came out, now they'll be two projects sortitoutsi which will continue as normal updating new games, fm25, fm26, fm27 etc and classic fm which will keep updating FM24 (and hopefully earlier versions but still TBC)

In regards contribution, you can still contribute transfers like normal, but the plan is to release a new way to be able to contribute other data like player histories but its taking a little longer than expected to release. It should be this week.

Apologies @snrsarg the intention was/is for classic fm to be a separate project, in 12 months time sortitoutsi will have totally transitioned to the new game and the new unity engine leaving the old stuff behind. It's too messy, both from a UI perspective and the extra work for moderators, to try and manage 20 “classic” versions and the new versions. We always leave older versions behind to focus on the new ones. That's why Classic FM was meant to exist as a stand alone project to manage that.

However setting up platforms to handle things like payments and downloads is complicated and takes time, (you definitely don't want to rush handling payments!) so in order to get the actual content out as fast as possible I wound up reusing all the sortitoutsi stuff and now the originally intended separation isn't there and it's a bit messy and unclear and people are understandably confused.

But to try and explain as clearly as possible the reason they're separate is because they're going to be separate projects, separate websites, separate server resources, separate people running it, separate everything.

When FM25 comes out with a totally different UI and engine we will need totally different data updates, totally different graphics, kits will be a different format, logos and faces will be different sizes etc. It will confuse the hell out of users if they are constantly being presented with multiple options and have to choose the right ones and it will stress the hell out of moderators who constantly have to deal with their support requests and it will piss off creators if they're being asked to create everything twice in two different formats. Essentially I think trying to do that could wreck sortitoutsi completely.

So it's better separate and they are separate.

The lines between the two are blurry now because (1) Both sites are still on FM24 rather than one being FM24 and another being FM25. SI kind of threw me a last minute curveball there I wasn't prepared for and (2) the logins and payments are integrated, simply because I was excited to get it out asap and not spend months passing security tests on a new domain which isn't fun.

Come March/April the separation will be obvious and you can choose to stick to the old generation or continue with the new generation of FM. In my mind long term they will wind up being completely separate communities with different players and creators. Just like the old CM community is totally separate from the newer FM community now. At least that's the vision.

@Joshuaporter  Sorry you're right that's probably confusing. If you click download on the data update page then it will automatically give you the enhanced version.

If that is the only issue you're seeing and you're not seeing issues with other major players like Mbappe at Real Madrid then I would guess you accidentally have multiple editor data files that are conflicting.

Dan's file took months of work and we can't replicate that and we can't just take it and modify it either unfortunately.

To answer a question from the r/classicfm subreddit

As for dynamic attributes does it uses setting (i think negative number?) to generate CA/PA within a range or its just fixed numbers based on whatever you put there? And didn't official DB use the same method to kinda randomize stats within range?

The official DB uses random potential for players under 21 and the range is quite broad in a range of 30 e.g. 150-180.

The dynamic player abilities affects all players whatever their age.

It's less broad, so Lewis Dunk will be rated 145-155 for example (not sure if that's true for him just an example).

This allows for variety where he might be Brighton's best defender in one save and 4th best in another. But still realistic so he's not Van Dijk in one save and Championship in another.

And it affects more than just CA/PA it also affects hidden attributes such as reputation, which has a big impact on the game and injury proneness.

Basically it's impossible to say Dunk is reputation 6,500/10,000 and Adam Webster is 6,200/10,000 which is what FM does, since these numbers are kinda random anyway it makes sense to have them slightly more random so Dunk will be 6-7k between saves. This affects his valuation, scouting reports, interested clubs, squad cohesion, player expectations. But only slightly, not enough to be extreme, but enough to make each save unique when applied to all 300,000 players.

To be clear it's not just FM24 data randomised, the ranges described above are only present in the optional files named "dynamic". There is still fixed the data with abilities and reps adjusted to a sensible static value, the ranged values are then built from these custom values not fm24 values.

@MushroomMan2705 I assume you mean the FMRTE start date, we haven't produced a custom start date for a few years now. If you're seeing something called a sortitoutsi custom start date in your editor data folder it's probably from the wrong year.

Beyond that unfortunately it's very difficult to help you with the limited information you've given, screenshots would be much more helpful.
