It was a decision made by the game devs because they found that in a formation like the standard 4-2-3-1 Wide (with 2 MCs behind an AMC, and AML/AMR), the AI managers were using players like Mason Mount, Kevin de Bruyne, James Maddison or Phil Foden in the MC slot with no true holding midfielders (I guess because attacking players have higher CA than more defensive players like Casemiro or Fernandinho).

So SI's solution was to remove the 4-2-3-1 Wide formation from being used by the AI, and instead use 4-2-3-1 DM Wide with 2 DMs. I think it's a quite inelegant solution because in real life there will always be managers who have their 2 midfielders higher up the pitch or closer to the defenders, and this change reduces tactical variation as a result, but also means AI managers can't use a Box-to-Box midfielder in the 4-2-3-1 anymore. The in-game 4-4-2 formation is still with 2 CMs rather than DMs which is a bit inconsistent as well. I also think the change was decided quite late-on in development and was rushedly implemented as a result, because many of the game's researchers didn't have time to adjust playing positions of some central midfielders to be natural/accomplished at playing in DM, so (at least in the first database) I often saw AI playing centre backs at DM instead because they had the most proficiency in their squads!

@valen_seba, if you submit the wrong image by accident, please be more specific than “sorry i miss”, otherwise we won't know which image you submit is the correct one.

@Lezko_ Please crop your images closer to the top of the canvas - there's no need to leave such a huge gap above the head, only 2 or 3 pixels is enough.

He's banned in real life for failing a drugs test

On 12 November 2022, Vušković failed a drug test, prompting German Football Association (DFB)'s anti-doping department to launch an investigation. On 30 March 2023, Vušković was banned by the DFB Sports Court for two years due to EPO doping. The club and the player filed an appeal for the ban due to multiple irregularities during the investigation; however, Nationale Anti Doping Agentur (NADA) did the same seeking a four-year ban.The ban is set to run retroactively from 15 November 2022 to 14 November 2024.

I've set this one as pending again as I think you have a point - the source the existing cutout was made from was slightly compressed with some Jpeg artefacting, and the player's hairstyle has changed a bit as well.

@1Beril If you're uploading a lot of cutouts in a short span of time, please upload them all together as a pack instead of individually.

@nickypoo Please avoid using an AI image enlarger. It just “guesses” what certain pixels should look like when you make the image larger, and the result looks blurry/out of focus on certain details, with unrealistically smoothened skin, and unnatural looking hair/beard/eye/teeth details.

The player already has a good quality, recent cutout, and enlarging a source with AI is not really needed for images like this, where the original source is good enough to extract a decent cut from. It might be needed for small sources to bump them up to become just about cuttable, but there will in most cases be better sources to cut images from.

Then unfortunately, we won't be able to update his cutout image. We rely on decent quality source images being available to make cutouts from, and ultimately if there are only very small or very old source images then any cutout made from them won't be improvements.

This source image is the only one I was able to find, but it's much too small. However, if you'd like to use it anyway for your own FM savegames, this video shows how to do so using Photopea.com (a free web-based Photoshop alternative) and remove.bg:

@Man Utd save This source looks almost completely identical to the existing, high quality cutout, and it's not large enough to create a 250px size cutout from (the face needs to be large enough to fill the canvas without upscaling), so this won't be an improvement.

You'll have to download a custom database, yes. He doesn't appear in the default FM23 database as he was under 16 at the cutoff time (31 August if I remember right - this cutoff is for minor protection reasons and is an SI decision). I believe he is included in the sortitoutsi Data Update but I can't check for sure.

I've searched in the FM23 Editor, she appears in all database versions for me (23.00, 23.03 and 23.04). However she is a free agent in FM23 and not contracted to any club, which might explain why she doesn't appear in your savegame - depending on how far you've advanced through the game she may have retired due to being without a club for a prolonged period of time, which is a game mechanic to trim excess players/staff so you don't end up with thousands of them without clubs slowing down the game.

She shows up in the site's search if you include the hyphen in her first name

@benjamin al muhammed  This image isn't large enough to produce a high quality cutout. The face is too small for the 250px cutout size so it won't be an improvement over the current one.

You can right click on the image on the website and click “Inspect” or “Inspect Element” and open the DevTools screen to get the image link

@CD11 The sources from the Premier League website aren't large enough to produce good quality cutouts because the faces are too small in the images.

You're having to upscale the image to fit the 250px canvas making the cutout really blurry, which isn't an improvement.

I agree that the existing cutout could be improved upon, but unfortunately the original source image for your cutout is just too blurry.

I found a more recent source image from his current club Arsenal de Sarandí (looking at the player's social media, he has blonde hair now 😄), I'll post it as a source request.

@Snipe2irt Sorry but I don't see the point in making cutouts like this. It might be a more recent source than the existing cutout, but only by a matter of months, and it's a lot blurrier. The player's appearance hasn't changed since the previous cutout either.

By uploading cutouts like these, all you're doing is making more work for mons (and any other cutout section mods) who have to take the time to compare the cuts and decide whether or not to include them in future megapack updates.

@mons I can't find any correct images of Peter Kaiser unfortunately (there is this photo of Nordsjaelland's U19 team that he's listed on the roster for, but I have no clue who is who in the photo).

The only photos of Kurmanbek Nurlanbekov I was able to find are this from circa January 2022 (on right) and this from October 2019 when he would've been 15 years old unfortunately.

As for scrollbars, I can hide them by adding “overflow:hidden” (and putting “!important!” at the end just to be sure, but not necessary) on this string. Not sure if that works as a solution?
