I'm really worried about possible microtransactions and the game losing its customisability… It just wouldn't be the same if it went the unregistered unofficial PES way with fake players and clubs. Or if extra purchases were required to “unlock” more official leagues or something like that. 😢

These really are fantastically well done. It's great to see Bolid and wfm18 aren't the only kit artists with dedication and a keen eye for detail.

I did. I assumed the TMC logopack 23.1 should be installed on top of the previous one (Megapack 23) but apparenty that resulted in a lightweight config.xml version replacing the heftier one. What I don't understand is why the issue of missing logos only occurred after the latest FM 23 update. Odd. That is what threw me off. I was sure the FM 23.5 update had introduced some kind of hard-coded prevention against the use of customised logos.

I believe the percentage had been left out (for realism's sake?) in the default skin. I use the Flut skin and it does show the percentages.

I don't know how, but the issue was my actually TMC logos. They had worked fine before but not after the latest FM update. Now that I removed them and re-installed the Megapack 23 and Update pack 23.1 into two separate folders (instead of overwriting the former with the latter) with separate config.xml's the in-game logos show up again.

Used to be only the greedy Red side of Manchester who did this at the launch of 2023, but apparently clubs like Everton, Leicester, even WBA and Hull have followed suit.

This is BS and reminds me of the old PES games with false player names, club names and crests etc. It's really immersion-breaking, alienating and keeps me from choosing to manage a team with an “empty” random club crest with zero personality and realism to it. Sucks big time since I bought the game, own it and now they pull the rug under their loyal players. Don't really feel like paying for my next iteration of FM…

I agree that a map (with toggle options) of clubs/stadiums/regions would be a visually fantastic and realism-enhancing feature for FM!

I like to study the geographical distances between local clubs and other rivals myself when getting to know my club in a new save.

That's correct, it only works when you place the file in the \editor data\ folder and start a new save.

I'm wondering what the “Realistic fan flare effect” mentioned in the description is like… (Perhaps more lingering smoke on the pitch after a thrown flare?)

Also, how would they be able to make that effect appear on FM 23 using this program, I wonder? Especially if they state this program is compatible with FM, FIFA and E-Football as well…

To fix it: open the config.xml in notepad, replace the home and away kit ID 53003060 with --→ 54003060 and you're done.

Yes, but it needs to be converted to FM23 version (opened and saved again in the FM23 Pre-game editor).

Also, in my savegame I'm so far away from any possble date for a trophy lifting occation (in a match of my own or that of another club/league) that I haven't been able to test and confirm that my forementioned theory truly holds water. My apologies for that, but I sense I might be onto something.

I think I may have found the correct location of the Podium graphics in FM 23:

Use the Resource Archiver to extract simatchviewer.fmf and paste it in …\Football Manager 2023\data\

Then place the custom podium files (podium_01_[al] & podium_02_[al]) here: Football Manager 2023\data\simatchviewer\art\environments\props\cut_scenes\shared_textures\

(You should probably back-up the originals before overwriting the files!)

There's an option in the preferences, something like: “Show individual ID's for skinning.” That option is always off by default in each FM game, but matybe yours is on for some reason?

I wholeheartedly agree on that!

The kits used in the match engine are 3D kits. The ones in club info page are 2D kits, so different pack of kits is needed there. (SS kits for example, which means short sleeved 2D kits)

I'm sure it would work otherwise, but these editor data-files have to be opened and saved in FM 23 Pre-game Editor, and that is not released until when the official game (not beta) releases.
